(Daily Mi: 0.0) Crossed the Potomac River into Harpers Ferry at about mid-day. Wolfed down a steak sandwich for lunch at a cafe on the main strip. Beautiful day. Town was hopping (it's also Saturday). Took a room for the night at the historic Hill Top House (still wonderfully seedy). Resupplied at the Outfitter. Didn't manage to get up the hill to the Appalachian Trail Conference offices.
