(Daily Mi: 9.1) Very muggy hike today (the temperature really came up yesterday). Late start, early finish today. The next shelter was 16 miles on and would have been a stretch for Chris (and a push for me). We found a nice, level spot at the top of a long, sweaty climb and pitched on the spot (actually Chris took a short hike back to get us some water). It was still fairly early (about 4 pm) but it was nice to take a short day and have a chance to just sit and catch up.
